Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will allow players to experience the game before its official November 14 launch through early access and open beta periods across PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. The exact schedule has been revealed by the Call of Duty blog, giving fans clarity on when they can jump into the multiplayer action, test new gameplay mechanics, and explore Zombies content.

Early access starts on Thursday, October 2, running until Sunday, October 5, for those who preorder the game, subscribe to Game Pass Ultimate, claim a code through Xfinity, or watch one hour of Call of Duty: Next on Twitch. Players in the open beta can join from Sunday, October 5, through Wednesday, October 8, opening the experience to everyone who wants an early look.

The beta introduces new gameplay features, including body shields and wall jumping, along with a Zombies map for players to test out. During Call of Duty: Next, Activision’s annual reveal event, fans will see live multiplayer demonstrations, a deeper look at Zombies, and information about the new Warzone map.

“This is a fun one. It started as a small, little Easter egg and, inevitably, somebody asked the question, ‘Can I pet that dog?’ And a very small group of people made it happen,” said design director Matt Scronce, referring to the DAWG, the game’s Deployable Armored Weaponized Groundcraft. Its remastered version is expected to enhance early multiplayer sessions once it drops in early December, following the pattern of previous Black Ops launches.
