A few hours earlier, a live broadcast began on the Call of Duty YouTube channel dedicated to the official announcement of the game. Unfortunately, part of the trailer was leaked online, but now all cards have been revealed—Call of Duty: Modern Warfare IV, developed by Infinity Ward, will be released on October 23, 2026, for PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, as well as Nintendo Switch 2. As can be seen from the trailer, the plot of Modern Warfare IV will unfold on the Korean Peninsula, where the focus will be on a full-scale invasion of South Korea. The developers promise a more realistic tone, and the story will include covert operations, political conflicts, and international military actions.

The game's story campaign will be shown from different points of view, and will feature a new main character - Private Park, a young Korean soldier who is beginning his military journey. In addition, the return of Captain Price has been confirmed, who will appear in a new role: he is forming an unsanctioned alliance, working separately from Task Force 141 and official authorities. Besides South Korea, players will visit locations such as Paris, New York, and Mumbai.

In addition to plot details, Infinity Ward also revealed that Modern Warfare IV uses the latest version of the IW Engine game engine, which will showcase the most detailed graphics—even better than ever.

Another important point is the return of the DMZ mode, which had been rumored earlier. The developers promise to significantly improve the game mode, creating a living world - with dynamic weather changes, and enemies with improved AI—and it is suggested that each round in DMZ will not be like the previous one.
