Team Liquid has officially announced the departure of its Counter-Strike 2 head coach, Torbjørn ‘mithR’ Nyborg. The announcement was made via the organization’s official X (formerly Twitter) account and marks the end of mithR’s tenure after less than a year with the team.

With nearly a decade of coaching experience, mithR has worked with several high-profile organizations, including Apeks, Mousesports, and North, beginning his coaching career back in 2016. He joined Team Liquid in mid-2024, making his debut at the BLAST Premier: Fall Groups, where the team secured a top-four finish.

Under his leadership, Team Liquid also placed 6th at the BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2024, showcasing promising results. However, the team has faced challenges in early 2025, including a disappointing Group Stage exit at IEM Katowice 2025, which may have contributed to the coaching change.
