CS2 Skandalı: Stewie2k, Bir Oyuncuyu Nakit ve Nadir Kostümlerle Dolandırmakla Suçlanıyor
A fresh controversy has erupted in the Counter-Strike 2 community — former Major champion and North American esports star Jake “Stewie2k” Yip is facing allegations of fraud. Screenshots and chat logs shared online suggest that Stewie2k accepted money and rare in-game skins from another player as part of a private deal but failed to uphold his end of the agreement.
How the Dispute Began
According to the alleged victim, Stewie2k contacted him in October with an offer to trade several high-value CS2 items, including a Karambit Case Hardened (FN), Butterfly Doppler (Phase 1), and Vice Gloves (WW). After negotiating a price, the buyer sent payment in advance, expecting the skins once the trade hold period ended.
Things took a turn soon after. Stewie2k reportedly backed out of the deal without returning the funds, citing vague “technical issues.” In their chat, he claimed that the trades had been “automatically canceled by bots” and that he “received double credit from the developers.”
Suspicious Screenshots and Photoshop Claims
To defend himself, Stewie2k allegedly sent a screenshot of a Steam trade log showing that the exchange was canceled on October 16 at 7:33 AM. However, the other party quickly noticed inconsistencies — the timestamp reportedly predated an official CS2 update. This led to accusations that the image had been doctored using Photoshop. The victim called the explanation about “bots rolling back the trade” a fabrication meant to mislead him.
Repeated Delays and Silence
In the days that followed, Stewie2k allegedly promised multiple times to issue a refund, claiming he would do so on November 13 once he “received payment from another deal.” Those promises were never fulfilled. Eventually, communication stopped altogether. Frustrated, the victim published screenshots of the entire exchange on Twitter, adding:
“How hard is it to just send a refund instead of inventing excuses for weeks?”
The Items Involved
The trade reportedly included the following skins:
- Butterfly Knife | Doppler (Phase 1)
- Butterfly Knife | Slaughter (FN)
- Karambit | Case Hardened (FN)
- Karambit | Fade (P4)
- Vice Gloves (WW)
- M9 Bayonet | Gamma Doppler
None of these items were ever returned, according to the victim.
Fallout and Community Reaction
The story quickly went viral on social media, with fans and traders across the Counter-Strike 2 scene criticizing Stewie2k and calling for a response. As of now, the player has not issued any official comment.
For many, this controversy highlights the ongoing trust issues in the CS2 skin trading community — a space where even well-known personalities can find their reputations questioned over questionable deals.
