Bir Devrin Sonu: İki Kez Büyük Şampiyonluk Kazanan karrigan FaZe Clan'dan Ayrılıyor
FaZe Clan has announced the departure of Finn "karrigan" Andersen. The news appeared on the organization's official X page and immediately triggered a wave of reactions across the CS community.
karrigan first joined FaZe back in 2016. During his first stint with the club, he led the team to victories at ELEAGUE Premier 2017 and Esports Championship Series Season 4 Finals, cementing his reputation as one of the best IGLs (In-Game Leaders) on the scene. After leaving FaZe, he moved to mousesports, where he secured wins at the CS:GO Asia Championships 2019 and ESL Pro League Season 10 Finals.
In February 2021, karrigan returned to FaZe. This return turned out to be one of the most successful comebacks in CS history: in 2022, the team won the PGL Major Antwerp and later completed the Intel Grand Slam Season 4. At their peak, FaZe looked unbeatable.
A Recent Decline in Results
However, starting in 2024, performance began to dip. Three consecutive second-place finishes—at IEM Katowice 2024, PGL Major Copenhagen 2024, and the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024—showed that the team was struggling to reach the very top.
2025 proved to be even more challenging:
- BLAST.tv Austin Major: Ended in a disappointing 5th-8th place finish.
- StarLadder Budapest Major 2025: Provided a brief spark of optimism when FaZe unexpectedly reached the Grand Final, ultimately taking 2nd place.
Ultimately, these results were not enough to maintain the roster.
End of an Era
For Counter-Strike fans, karrigan was more than just an IGL with a long resume. He proved that a team captain could simultaneously be a master tactician and a role model for his players.
Following the announcement on X, the community flooded the platform with messages of gratitude, which speaks for itself. The chapter in the FaZe history book that began in 2021 has officially come to a close.
