A Founder Leaves the Project

Since the organization's inception, Zinchenko has been much more than a celebrity investor. As a co-founder, he became the face of the club, actively supporting its development, participating in organizational decisions, and helping establish its presence within the esports industry.

His involvement extended beyond business operations, with the footballer occasionally appearing as a substitute player and regularly promoting the club's initiatives.

According to Passion UA, Zinchenko’s backing was instrumental in the organization's early growth, helping it build recognition, attract opportunities, and establish a strong identity within the competitive gaming scene.

Passion UA Pays Tribute to Zinchenko

In an official statement, the organization thanked Zinchenko for his contribution and highlighted the belief he showed in the project from its earliest days.

CEO Artemis Ryabovs described Zinchenko's support as one of the key foundations behind the club’s success.

“Three years ago, Oleksandr Zinchenko believed in Passion UA. His support helped lay the foundation for the club’s growth, and his involvement became an important part of our shared story. I am grateful for his trust, support, and belief in the project throughout all these years,” Ryabovs stated.

Despite the departure, Passion UA emphasized that its long-term vision and development plans remain unchanged.

Another Key Figure Departs

The announcement comes alongside another notable exit from the organization.

Lyonder, the head of Passion UA's media department, revealed on social media that he is also leaving the project and is currently seeking new professional opportunities.

The simultaneous departures have sparked discussions within the community about the organization's future direction.

From Startup to Major Contender

Founded in 2023, Passion UA quickly established itself as one of Ukraine's most recognizable esports organizations.

The club's biggest achievement came in Counter-Strike 2, where it successfully qualified for the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024, emerging as one of the most surprising and inspiring stories of the qualification cycle.

That breakthrough helped elevate Passion UA's profile both domestically and internationally.

A Defining Moment for Passion UA

Zinchenko's departure marks the end of a defining period in the organization's history.

While Passion UA remains committed to its future ambitions, the loss of a founding figure inevitably raises questions about what comes next. Many esports organizations have faced challenging transitions after the exit of a founder, with some thriving and others struggling to maintain momentum.
