Twitch platformlarında rulet akışlarını yasakladı
The administration of the streaming service Twitch has announced changes to its policy regarding content, which can be broadcasted by users of the streaming platform. The management of the portal introduces some changes to its policy of usage. Now, there will be a partial ban on streamers from broadcasting playing slots and advertisements of such services on Twitch. Besides, the situation regarding opening CS:GO cases and others can be reconsidered.
One of the creators of such content was involved in a scandal. Abraham ‘Sliker’ Mohammed told his audience that he had been luring money from his friends and fans to create content. He has earned more than $200,000 in total, according to Kotaku.
CS:GO skins can be used on third-party websites as one of the types of betting. Despite his confession, Sliker announced his desire to return money to everyone he owes and he is not going to build his success on fraud.
His action caused lots of dissatisfaction among Twitch users and the last ones tried to hold the portal administration accountable. Moreover, viewers have decided to boycott the streaming service. They demanded the administration show a principled position regarding the ban of such gaming broadcasts.
The changes to Twitch came into force on October 18. Now, users can stream such content and the management of the platform had a respective approach to the viewers’ boycott. The general management works on the streaming of websites, which do not have a US license or in any other jurisdictions.
Regarding other casino portals, which have a license and legal rights, Twitch has nothing against such services. The list of such casinos can be found here.
Streamers can also continue broadcasting sports betting, and fantasy football, or demonstrate how they play poker.
