Plot and Publishing Information
The upcoming Solo Leveling Ragnarok manhwa adaptation is based on Daul's novel, and will feature JIN from Redice Studio as the new artist for the series. Ragnarok follows a new protagonist, Sung Suho, the son of Jinwoo and Cha Hae In, who lived a normal life until a near-death experience led him to unlock a power similar to that which was bestowed onto his father: a command over the force of death. The novel is currently serialized on Kakao Page and has been running since April 2023. The original Solo Leveling webnovel was also serialized on Kakao Page in 2016, with the manhwa adaptation running from March 2018 to December 2021.
Both were licensed for distribution in English by Yen Press, while the anime adaptation directed by Shunsuke Nakashige (key animation, Sword Art Online) at A-1 Pictures ran for 12 episodes from January to March this year. A second season of the Solo Leveling anime was announced at the end of the first. Crunchyroll streamed the first season as it aired and will do so for Solo Leveling – Arise From the Shadows when it airs. A Solo Leveling mobile game titled Solo Leveling: Arise launched in May.
The first season of Solo Leveling is available to watch on Crunchyroll, while the manhwa is available in English on Tapas.
