Brawl Stars has officially announced upcoming changes to its Trophy System, set to go live on February 24 following scheduled update maintenance. With the removal of Trophy Seasons and the Trophy Box system, the update introduces a revamped progression structure, including a new Brawler Title color, improved matchmaking, and additional reward opportunities.

Brawl Stars Removes Trophy Seasons and Trophy Boxes

Once the update maintenance is complete, both the Trophy Season structure and the Trophy Box system will be fully removed from the game. However, players will still receive one final Trophy Box based on their current Season Trophies before the update goes live. In addition, an Ultra Trophy Box will be granted once maintenance concludes.

Players who reach 3,000 Season Trophies prior to the update will receive two Ultra Trophy Boxes as a bonus reward. Prestige rankings will no longer remain active on the leaderboard, though previous standings will still be accessible under the Legacy section of the Player Profile.

Ultra Trophy Boxes and other Trophy Box tiers will continue to appear on occasion through special Community Events. It is also confirmed that all Brawlers with more than 1,000 Trophies will be reset to 1,000 Trophies once the update launches.

Improved Matchmaking, MMR System, and New Ways to Earn Buffies

The redesigned Trophy System aims to create a more balanced starting point while encouraging continued progression. As part of this change, highly skilled players will be rewarded with a new Brawler Title featuring a unique color to showcase their achievements.

One of the most significant additions is the introduction of an MMR-based matchmaking system, similar to those used in other competitive mobile titles. This system is designed to create fairer matches and improve overall gameplay balance.

In addition, the update will introduce a Resource Rush event, offering increased currency rewards for match victories. New and easier ways to obtain Buffies will also be added, including:

• Mega Quests
• One free Buffie per new Claw Machine
• A Random Buffie offer priced at 79 Gems
• Rewards from the Resource Rush event

More information about these changes is expected to be revealed during the February 21 Brawl Talk presentation.
