Assassin's Creed 1 Remake'in Black Flag Resynced'i Takip Edeceği Bildiriliyor

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced was confirmed only recently, but two leakers are already pointing past it. Tom Henderson of Insider Gaming reported on a recent podcast that Ubisoft has another classic entry in the remake pipeline. YouTuber j0nathan, a well-known leaker with a consistent record on Ubisoft titles, backed the claim and named the game: the original Assassin's Creed, first released in 2007.

Neither leaker has official documentation. Ubisoft has not commented. But the report doesn't land without context — in 2024, the publisher's CEO stated that multiple franchise entries were being considered for remakes. Black Flag was the first name attached to that plan. The original game is now being identified as the second.

Tom Henderson addressed the commercial logic of Ubisoft's approach on the podcast, framing the next remake as contingent on Black Flag Resynced's performance.

"There is another Assassin's Creed remake in the works — one of the earlier ones. And based on Black Flag, they'll revisit the series, and see what other remakes they can do."

— Tom Henderson

That qualifier matters. Ubisoft is not committing to a remake slate in advance. The Resynced label has to earn its continuation. Henderson referenced the Splinter Cell remake — six to seven years in development with no release yet — and The Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake, which was canceled after years of troubled production. Both cases illustrate the gap between a project existing and a project shipping.

Still, the original Assassin's Creed is the most defensible candidate in the lineup. It is the only mainline entry in the series currently unplayable on modern consoles. Every other title from the HD era has a version accessible on current hardware. A remake would close that gap and could integrate into Ubisoft's Shadow Animus hub, the franchise-wide launcher announced alongside Assassin's Creed Shadows that the company has not yet made into a meaningful destination.

The anniversary window adds another layer. November 2027 is the 20th anniversary of the original game and the series as a whole. That's the obvious target for a release tied to legacy. It would also place roughly 16 months between it and Black Flag Resynced, which launches July 9, 2026, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

I think AC1 makes more sense as a remake target than AC2: it's the one title a current-generation player cannot legally access on modern hardware, and that alone gives it a commercial argument that Ezio's debut, available via the Ezio Collection, doesn't have.

Assassin's Creed 1 Remake Reportedly Follows Black Flag Resynced 1

Henderson's phrasing — "one of the earlier ones" — technically covers more than two options. AC2 introduced Ezio Auditore, who carried the franchise through Brotherhood and Revelations and remains the series' most recognized protagonist. A remake of that game would carry significant name recognition. But AC3, set during the American Revolution, and Unity, set in Revolutionary Paris, are not impossible picks either. Both launched with enough technical problems to overshadow their attempts. I know the Unity argument resurfaces periodically: that Paris as a setting was genuinely ambitious and that the game's reputation was shaped more by its launch state than its design.

Ubisoft has confirmed none of this. Assassin's Creed Hexe, a separate project with no announced date, is also still in the pipeline. What's confirmed is Black Flag Resynced for July. Everything past that sits in leaker territory, with the standing caveat that internal development priorities shift and timelines move.
