Rockstar Games Yeni Bir L.A. Noire Video Oyunu Üzerinde Çalışıyor Olabilir
Rockstar Games is actively working on its next game—Grand Theft Auto VI, the most anticipated title of 2026. But it would be foolish to assume that GTA 6 is the only game currently in development at the studio, and the CEO of Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, Strauss Zelnick, has only added fuel to the fire in this regard.
Speaking at the iicon conference, Zelnick hinted that Rockstar Games isn’t done with L.A. Noire, the detective game released in 2011 by Team Bondi and published by Rockstar Games. When asked by Variety’s Jenny Maas whether the company plans to expand the series, the CEO of Take-Two Interactive replied:
“Yes. Broadly, we’re looking at doing something in the future with all of our intellectual property. There’s nothing to announce on L.A. Noire specifically, and if there were, it would be Rockstar announcing it, not me. But in any case, with regard to our legacy IP, the teams are always looking at what we have and we’re always thinking about it. The question is, at any given time, do we have a team that’s passionate about working on that?”
According to eyewitnesses, Zelnik’s response surprised the audience, and Variety journalist Jenny Maas, who had asked, was downright shocked by what she heard. However, the Take-Two CEO’s remarks do not confirm that Rockstar Games is currently working on a new installment of L.A. Noire. In the same interview, he also addressed the possible price of Grand Theft Auto VI.
The original game was released in 2011 not directly by Rockstar Games, but by Team Bondi—an independent Australian studio that collaborated with Rockstar, which went bankrupt and closed down in the same year that L.A. Noire was released.
L.A. Noire is set in Los Angeles in 1947. You play as police detective Cole Phelps, who investigates murders while climbing the career ladder. The game received high praise from players and critics for its excellent investigation and evidence-gathering mechanics, engaging storytelling, high-quality plot, and well-developed characters, but the technical side of the game was riddled with issues, especially the PC version. In 2017, a remastered version of the game was released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, and a VR project—L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files—was also released.
