Ubisoft has done a great job with Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced - a remake of the 2013 game, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. Thanks to the new gaming engine, Anvil, the game really looks like a full-fledged remake, but this is just one of the new features of the upcoming title.

The developers also confirmed that we will see new content in Black Flag Resynced that was not in the original game. In particular, it is known that the story arcs of characters such as Blackbeard and Stede Bonnet will be expanded, and Edward Kenway's crew will be supplemented with three new characters, each of whose backstory we will be able to learn during the game.

Speaking about Edward Kenway, the actor who voices the character, Matt Ryan, recently appeared in an interview with Game Informer, where he revealed that he was originally invited for the role of the character in, allegedly, a pirate series, since the details of the project were kept secret. He also shared his impressions about returning to the hero's role and confirmed the presence of new content in Black Flag Resynced, as you can check out below:

“Well, originally, it was pitched as a pirate TV show because it was all top secret, so I did the first audition and I thought that the scenes – they didn’t give me a script – but the scenes that were given were great, and the description of the character was great. And when they invited me back, they said it was an Assassin’s Creed game, and I’d already played the first ones, so I was like, “Great, yeah!” But yeah, it was all in the writing.

was a strange and wonderful and nostalgic and beautiful experience, man. It’s like an old friend. The funny thing is, when I did the original game, you didn’t quite know what it would be. You want to do the best job you can; you do your research, you do your preparation, and you give it your all. Coming back to something that you know has been very successful and that like, and you’re like, “Oh shit, where is he? How do I realign to him?” But he was there, man, and it was kind of easy to slip into. My voice has changed slightly; it is slightly lower now, but I trained as an actor for this. But yeah, what a joy to come back and after all this, all this time, doing new scenes. new scenes just jumped off the page, and they really add to the character – they add depth to the character and the story. They’re not just there for the sake of filling it out.

I’m excited for the fans, old and new, to discover this great character in this astoundingly beautiful, ruthless, cruel, wonderful world and go on a journey with. And I think that all the people who’ve been on that journey with him before, I’m excited for them to go on it again, and for them to feel the depth that has been brought to the character through the new stuff that we’ve done and the physics engine that they’re using in the game, and how the game looks and feels.”

Another innovation that will appear in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is the ability to choose your favorite pirate shanties while traveling at sea - Ubisoft confirmed this by releasing new gameplay. Besides Black Flag Resynced, Ubisoft is also developing, at least, two new Assassin’s Creed titles:

• Codename Hexe—set in the 16th-century Holy Roman Empire, reportedly featuring new protagonist Anika, who is the descendant of Claudia Auditore, Ezio’s sister. By the way, an iconic Assassin’s Creed character is also set to appear in the game. The release date is rumored to be summer 2027.
• Codename Invictus—a multiplayer Assassin’s Creed title developed by the same team who worked on For Honor. Recently, the first image was leaked, as well as the details revealed by Tom Henderson that Invictus is a knockout-round-based title where familiar characters from the game series fight with each other in different areas from the games’ lore. The release date is still unknown.
