It’s been a while since Crytek—the studio that is mostly known for Crysis game series and Hunt: Showdown—presented a new video game. But it seems like developers are indeed working on an unannounced title, as indicated by the update of vacancies on the company's official website.

Crytek is looking for a person for the position of ' Development Director ' for an unannounced project. The potential employee must have 10 years of experience in the gaming industry, and their responsibilities will include the entire game development cycle - including budget planning, team structure building, and strong leadership qualities.

Crytek is looking for an experienced Development Director to lead delivery on a game development project in our Frankfurt office.

Reporting to the COO, you will own end-to-end project delivery and the operational model of the project. You will be responsible for ensuring the team is structured, staffed, and run effectively to deliver on time, within budget, and at the required quality level.

You will balance the production plan against creative ambition, technical constraints, and business priorities, working with your peers in the leadership team, and define how the team operates: decision-making and ways of working to drive clarity, accountability, and consistent execution at scale.”

As we know, on January 22, the studio announced they are working on the fourth installment of Crysis. We haven’t heard much about the game for a while, but last year Crytek announced development of Crysis 4 has reportedly been put on hold following layoffs affecting around 400 employees. The release date of the game still remains unknown.

As for the new Crytek project, Reddit users are discussing a potential new Hunt entry—in the genre of rogue-lite—as well as a possible new game in Ryse franchise or a completely new IP.
