Eski Destiny 2 geliştiricisi şimdi The Witcher çok oyunculu oyunu Project Sirius üzerinde çalışıyor.

In 2022, CD Projekt RED announced the expansion of The Witcher universe with Project Sirius—a new spin-off to the franchise, which, for the first time in game series history, will feature multiplayer mode. The game was initially developed by The Molasses Flood studio, but in 2023 the studio suffered a wave of layoffs, as a result of which Project Sirius’ development has started from a clean slate, and the rest of the studio became part of Boston’s department of CD Projekt RED—who are now developing the project.

Project Sirius is still believed to be at the early stage of development, as we haven't heard almost anything related to the game since the announcement. However, the game just received an employee who knows how to work with multiplayer titles. Specifically, Kwan Perng, who worked on such titles as Destiny 2 and also Guild Wars 2, has joined CD Projekt RED as ‘Lead Writer’ to work on Project Sirius, as you can check out below his statement from LinkedIn:

“I've joined CD PROJEKT RED as the Lead Writer on Project Sirius. It will be some time before I can talk about the project, but in the meantime I've been immersing myself in the dark and eclectic universe of The Witcher. It's humbling to get the opportunity to tell stories in this world and in the company of such talented developers.

I'll miss all of my wonderful friends in the Seattle game dev community and hope our paths cross again—whether at GDC, PAX, or working alongside one another in the future. Until then, Poochy and I have begun a new tale in Boston.”

Besides Project Sirius will be the first project in The Witcher game series to feature multiplayer, the game is also confirmed to have a story mode though its details are kept secret. CD Projekt RED also continue to work on The Witcher 4, and Fool’s Theory is confirmed to be working on The Witcher remake, as well as rumors suggested the studio also involved in the development of a new DLC to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. All of these projects still don’t have release dates.
