June promises to be a really busy month for gaming events. It was previously confirmed that Summer Game Fest will take place from June 5 to 8 and the Xbox Games Showcase on June 7. But it was also recently announced that Sony will hold its next State of Play presentation on June 2, and it looks like it will be a truly massive event, as it will be shown simultaneously in movie theaters across several major U.S. cities.

It appears that Nintendo is also planning to hold a Nintendo Direct presentation; at least, that’s the information that recently emerged from Giant Bomb editor and insider Jeff Grubb during one of his Twitch streams. Furthermore, he noted that the presentation could take place as part of Summer Game Fest, though there has been no official confirmation from Nintendo yet.

As with Sony’s State of Play, the previous Nintendo Direct event, held in the Partner Showcase format, took place in February of this year. It featured games primarily from third-party publishers, including Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Resident Evil Requiem, Pragmata, Turok: Origins, and many others.

If Nintendo does hold its presentation in June, there are several projects they could showcase. For instance, it could be a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, which is rumored to be in development, as well as the recently announced Star Fox 64 remake, which is titled Star Fox. There also might be some information about Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, which is confirmed to release in 2026, Splatoon Riders, or even the new 3D Mario title.
