Clash of Clans, 7 Yıl Sonra Küresel Sohbeti Geri Getiriyor — Yeni Sosyal Sistem Nasıl Çalışıyor?

After years of requests from the Clash of Clans community, Supercell is finally bringing back one of the game's most iconic social features. Global Chat, which was removed in 2019, is set to return as part of the major June 2026 update launching on June 17. However, instead of simply restoring the original system, Supercell has completely redesigned the feature with modern moderation tools and new community-focused functionality.

A New Social Hub for Clash of Clans

The returning social features will be accessible through a brand-new Social Tab, which serves as a central hub for communication and community interaction.

From this menu, players will be able to access:

  • Clan Chat
  • Groups
  • Communities
  • Town Square

One notable change is that players will no longer need to be part of a Clan to participate in many of these social features, making it easier for everyone to connect with the wider Clash of Clans community.

Groups Offer Expanded Clan Communication

Groups are designed to support a wide range of activities, including:

  • Clan family organization
  • Recruitment
  • Strategy discussions
  • Trophy pushing
  • Base-building advice
  • Community conversations

Players can choose between public, invite-only, or private Groups, helping reduce spam and unwanted messages.

At launch, Groups will support up to 800 members and include several social tools such as:

  • Message reactions
  • Stickers
  • Player profile sharing
  • Clan links
  • QR-code invitations
  • Moderation controls

In many ways, Groups act as an upgraded and more customizable version of the traditional Clan Chat system.

Communities Expand Capacity to 50,000 Members

For larger audiences, Supercell is introducing Communities.

Once a Group reaches 600 members, it can be upgraded into a Community, increasing its capacity to an impressive 50,000 members.

Communities come with several built-in restrictions:

  • They are always public
  • Family-Friendly settings are enabled by default
  • Messages automatically disappear after 12 hours

These limitations are intended to help keep large-scale discussions manageable and safer for players.

Town Square Becomes the New Global Gathering Place

Every player will automatically gain access to Town Square, a new space designed to connect the entire Clash of Clans community.

Town Square will serve as a hub for:

  • Official announcements
  • Sneak peeks and previews
  • Live events
  • Community activities
  • Developer updates

While only selected individuals such as Community Managers, Ambassadors, creators, and special guests can post messages, all players will be able to react and participate in real time.

Supercell also plans to introduce community-wide activities and milestones that could unlock rewards for the entire player base.

Improved Clan Recruitment Tools

One of the biggest issues following the removal of Global Chat was the difficulty of recruiting new clan members. The June update addresses this by making it easier to share and discover players, clans, Groups, and Communities directly through chat.

Players can instantly view profiles and join communities that interest them, providing Clan leaders with significantly improved recruitment options.

Why This Version of Global Chat Is Different

The original Global Chat was removed because it became increasingly difficult to moderate. Spam, scams, inappropriate behavior, and other moderation challenges grew alongside the game's massive player base.

Rather than reintroducing the exact same system, Supercell has taken a different approach. By separating conversations into Groups, Communities, and Town Square, the developer can provide many of the social benefits players loved while maintaining better moderation and oversight.

The new system appears to reflect a broader vision for Clash of Clans. Beyond being a strategy game, Supercell seems to be creating a more connected social experience where players can interact, share ideas, and participate in community activities without relying on external platforms.

The original Global Chat helped connect millions of players around the world, but it was built for a very different era of online gaming. Whether the new system can fully capture that same magic remains to be seen. However, after nearly seven years of community requests, Clash of Clans is finally bringing back a feature many players thought was gone forever.
