There's just a little time left until the release of what might be the biggest remake of 2026—Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, a fresh take on the iconic Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag that originally came out in 2013. After the game officially went gold last week, rumored details about its playtime surfaced—and fans of the series are likely to be pleased.

To determine the length of the main campaign in Black Flag Resynced and the time required to achieve 100% completion, including all side quests, users turned to the HowLongToBeat service and data from the original game. According to this information, the average time to complete the Black Flag story campaign was about 23.5 hours. Considering that the new release will add around 6 hours of extra content, it’s estimated that the story duration for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced will be approximately 30 hours. As for fully completing the game at 100%, HowLongToBeat indicates that players originally needed roughly 62 hours. Most likely, this duration will increase in the remake due to the aforementioned new content, bringing total playtime closer to 70 hours in real time.

Recently, an image supposedly from the first DLC for Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced surfaced, showing the main character, Edward Kenway, with an unusual fiery appearance. Ubisoft has not commented on this leak so far, but the studio had previously confirmed that the game would not receive any DLC.
