Supercell has launched another adidas STARR CUP Halftime Challenge, giving the entire Brawl Stars community a chance to unlock a free cosmetic. This time, players can earn the exclusive Gridiron Otis skin—but only if the community works together to complete a unique objective.

Unlike previous halftime challenges, success depends on avoiding a specific Brawler rather than completing in-game milestones.

Free Gridiron Otis Skin Up for Grabs

The new challenge was announced through Brawl Stars' official X account shortly after the June 2026 Brawl Talk.

To unlock the reward, the community must avoid using Mortis in both Brawl Ball and Super Brawl throughout the event.

Supercell has introduced a reverse progress bar that tracks Mortis usage across the player base. Every match played with Mortis pushes the bar closer to failure, meaning the fewer times he is picked, the greater the community's chances of earning the reward.

If the objective is successfully completed, every eligible player will receive the Gridiron Otis skin for free.

How to Unlock the Free Gridiron Otis Skin

Participating in the event is simple.

Players only need to:

• Avoid selecting Mortis in Brawl Ball and Super Brawl
• Help keep the community progress bar above the failure threshold
• Wait for the challenge to conclude
• Log into the game to claim the reward if the objective is completed

According to the event rules, the community must keep Mortis usage below the target limit of 5 million matches.

A Different Kind of Community Challenge

Unlike previous adidas STARR CUP challenges that focused on scoring goals, dealing damage, or securing victories, this event encourages the entire community to change its behavior by temporarily putting one of the game's most popular Mythic Brawlers on the bench.

If players can work together and resist choosing Mortis, everyone will be rewarded with the exclusive Gridiron Otis skin once the challenge ends.
