The actor recently took part in an event at Ottawa Comic-Con; during his speech, which is available to watch, he shared some behind-the-scenes details about Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. Notably, he praised the main character, Jordan A. Mun, played by Tati Gabrielle, stating that the character is a spiritual successor to Ellie from The Last of Us. Baker also claimed Naughty Dog’s new game contains elements of both The Last of Us and Uncharted—while also being something completely new that will blow players’ minds.

A few hours ago, Naughty Dog made an important announcement regarding Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. Neil Druckmann, the studio’s head, stated the game will not be shown this year, but a full presentation awaits players in 2027 —at which time the long-awaited gameplay will likely be revealed. However, the exact or even approximate timing of when this will happen remains unknown.

Druckmann also confirmed Naughty Dog has not shelved The Last of Us: two games in the franchise are currently in development, which, according to the studio head, “expand the canon of The Last of Us beyond Part I and Part II.” However, he also noted both titles are still in the very early stages of development.

As for Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, the studio’s new IP, the release date is still unknown, with rumors claiming the PlayStation 5 exclusive will launch somewhere in 2027.
