ValveCS 2 players have voiced concerns regarding microphone issues. Some of these problems have persisted since the inception of the limited beta testing, yet Valve has not taken any corrective measures. A corresponding thread discussing these issues has emerged on Reddit.
One prevalent problem involves incorrect microphone sensitivity. Players find themselves having to raise their voices significantly for teammates to hear them, even though the microphone functions properly in other applications. While some users have successfully addressed this by reinstalling sound drivers and maximizing microphone volume in system settings, this workaround is not universally effective.
Another issue revolves around notable delays. If players begin speaking immediately after pressing the button, the initial words fail to transmit. This complicates communication during crucial, fast-paced moments and may result in a disadvantageous outcome for the team in a given round.
