This update was of critical importance for the professional scene, as it determined the direct invites for two major upcoming tournaments: the Esports World Cup 2026 (featuring the world's top 21 teams + regional qualifier winners) and Stake Ranked Episode 3 (exclusive to the top 6 teams in the ranking).

According to the latest standings, Vitality and Spirit continue to lead the world charts. Together with Falcons, Natus Vincere, MOUZ, and Legacy, they have secured their spots in Stake Ranked Episode 3. Legacy's success is particularly noteworthy; their recent victory at the CS Asia Championships 2026 – where they defeated Falcons 3-1 in the grand fina l– propelled them straight into the world's top 6.

This dip in performance aligns with the team's ongoing gameplay crisis. FaZe Clan recently participated in Stake Ranked Episode 2, where they had an excellent opportunity to improve their standing and gather crucial points. However, they finished the tournament in a disappointing 3rd place, suffering a helpless 0-2 sweep against the Swedish roster of Ninjas in Pyjamas in the semifinals. It was this specific blunder and the points lost just before Valve's deadline that ultimately cost the European roster a direct invite to one of the year's main events.
