Polygon (MATIC) ve Mastercard bir ortaklık sözleşmesi imzaladı

Polygon and Mastercard announced their collaboration. Within its framework, the parties to the contract decided to create a Web3 project that will help musicians develop. This is not the first case of cooperation for Mastercard. Previously, the company involved in the international payment system managed to be in the status of a partner with such eminent projects as Coinbase and BitOasis. Mastercard also collaborated with Roblox, which essentially developed their own metaverse, but it’s rather impossible to say that they belong to the world of cryptocurrencies.

Raja Rajamannar, director of marketing at Mastercard, said that the essence of this Web3 project will be to find interesting performers and further help them. The latter include the necessary tools to promote creativity and career development in the digital economy. Recently, more and more artists are starting to express interest towards the Web3 sector, and therefore the announcement from Mastercard and Polygon cannot be called surprising.

Rajammanar commented on the situation as follows:

We see that Web3 opens up huge opportunities for artists and creators to create, own and monetize their content, but only if they know how to use it. Program participants will receive instructions on how to implement blockchain tools in their work throughout the program.

Mastercard has repeatedly stated its desire to move towards Web3 technologies. Now their collaboration with Polygon and the creation of such a project confirms the intentions. Earlier, as we said earlier, Mastercard worked with Coinbase to create an NFT card. With BetOasis, which we also mentioned earlier, the company has released payment cards linked to cryptocurrencies.

As for Roblox, there Mastercard decided to hold several events dedicated to the Grammy music awards. Mastercard Marketing Director Raji Rajamannar noted that at this point the company went through a moment that helped the organization decide on its next steps.

The company that implemented the international payment system noticed that Web3 technologies provided excellent marketing opportunities and had much in common with the real world. The similarity between the real and digital worlds allows Mastercard to operate in a way that they already have.

Polygon CEO Ryan Wyatt also commented on the new partnership agreement:
