The Siege and the Sandfox 20 Mayıs'ta Yayınlanacak: Bir Stealthvania Macerası

Developer Cardboard Sword and publisher PLAION have announced the release date for their upcoming 2D platformer in the "stealthvania" genre, The Siege and the Sandfox. The game will launch on May 20 for PC, available on Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, and Humble Store. A new trailer for the game has also been revealed.

The Siege and the Sandfox promises a unique blend of stealth mechanics, parkour, and classic metroidvania elements. Players will take on the role of the Sandfox, a legendary assassin falsely accused of murdering the king and imprisoned in underground dungeons. The goal is to escape the labyrinth of caves, mausoleums, and ancient prisons, uncover the conspiracy, and save the kingdom.

The gameplay focuses on stealthy traversal and exploration of a seamless world that connects various locations, including a palace, prisons, and caves. Enemies react to even the slightest signs of intrusion, such as open doors or extinguished torches. Players will use parkour, items, and abilities to access new areas.

The game features animated retro pixel art, complemented by graphics created with Unreal Engine 4, promising an "incredibly rich visual environment," as stated by Cardboard Sword CEO Olly Bennett.
