Palworld just got a huge boost. The V0.6.0 patch is now live, and it’s the biggest content update since launch. Pocketpair added tons of features — a full Terraria crossover, new systems like fishing and salvaging, three new islands, a raid boss, and even a Pal trust system. This isn’t a small balance patch. It’s a massive wave of content meant to carry the game through its next phase.

This update also lands not long after the reveal of More Than Just Pals, the surprise Palworld dating sim spin-off that caught everyone off guard earlier this month. But now it’s back to the main game, and it’s bringing in gear from another world.

The Terraria collab is the headline. A new dungeon has been added that includes enemies from Terraria, giving players a full crossover event to explore. Inside the dungeon, you’ll be able to collect special materials that let you craft six new weapons and seven pieces of armor based on Terraria’s pixel-art universe. That’s not just cosmetic either — this gear is functional and brings a new flavor to the Palworld combat sandbox.

Alongside that dungeon comes a new raid boss: the Moon Lord. If you’ve played Terraria, you know this isn’t a minor threat. The Moon Lord is the final boss in Terraria’s progression and shows up in Palworld as the ultimate challenge so far. Bring your strongest Pals and your best team if you plan to take it down.

Beyond the crossover content, Palworld V0.6.0 adds fishing. You can now craft a rod and bait, then head to any body of water where fish shadows appear. Some new Pals are only available via fishing, adding a fresh loop for collectors. It’s not just fishing either — the new Salvage System lets you ride water Pals out to sea and use the rod to recover materials. There are unique ocean ores out there that boost your weapon crafting potential, so the ocean has more use than just swimming across it now.

World exploration has expanded, too. Three new biomes have been added: Tropical Islands, Iceberg Island, and Shipwreck Island. Each one comes with its own Pals to find and challenges to face. These new zones aren't just aesthetic; they play directly into the update’s new Mission System.

The Mission System is a major new feature that introduces structured objectives across the Palpagos Islands. It’s not just passive quest-giving — there’s story content, rewards, and reputation involved. Zoe, a key NPC, gets her own mission thread. Complete enough missions for her, and you’ll be able to recruit her as an ally. That’s a first for Palworld, which hasn’t really leaned into traditional NPC progression until now.

Another big change is the new Pal Trust Mechanic. Spend time with your Pals, and they’ll start trusting you more. That trust boosts their stats over time, especially for weaker Pals. It’s a way to bring underused creatures into viability and build tighter bonds between your character and your team. It even extends to a “sleep together” mechanic, where you and your Pals can rest at camp after a long day, not for buffs, just for bonding and atmosphere.

Treasure maps now exist in the game, too. Use them to track down secret stashes across the islands and score rare loot. These maps add a light treasure-hunting element, encouraging players to revisit areas they might’ve already cleared.

Enemy AI has evolved. Now, enemy factions can build their own bases just like players do. These bases are guarded, aggressive, and full of loot. If you can take them down, you’ll gain access to special blueprints tied to that faction. That adds another layer of strategy and conflict to open-world exploration.

Settlements have also been expanded. They’re bigger, denser, and populated with more mission-giving NPCs. The player level cap has been raised from 60 to 65, and there are new buildings like the Pal Surgery Table, which lets you overwrite passive skills or change a Pal’s gender. There’s also a new Large Incubator that lets you hatch multiple eggs at once, a Palbox Control Device for easier Pal management during raids, a Fishing Pond to chill at your base, and a Hexolite Quartz Mine to extract materials.

A bunch of new weapons were added, too. That includes the Charge Rifle, Energy Shotgun, Overheat Rifle, and Boost Gun. For support players, the Pal Recovery Grenade gives you a way to heal your creatures mid-fight.

The Arena got an upgrade as well. There’s now a solo challenge mode with rankings and battle tickets for rewards. You can even set custom rules, ban specific Pals, and spectate matches in multiplayer.

Mechanics across the board have been fine-tuned. Equipment durability can be toggled. Flea market food spoils more slowly if you assign a cooling Pal. Lyleen’s “Bountiful Protection” now gives area healing. Pal skill cooldowns tick down even when not summoned. Aggressive enemies have been toned down in certain areas. Mountable Pal speeds were improved. Bounty hunter lineups expanded. NPC conversations were reset to match the new reward system, and some late-game bosses had their difficulty reduced.

The update also increased the drop rate for Pal aptitude books from elemental treasure chests. And several active skills like Pal Blast got direct buffs.

Pals themselves got a ton of love. There are new skins for Crown Chillet, Cyber Jetragon, and Desert King Anubis — results from the year-one popularity poll. Pals can now swim, with new water animations and adjusted movement speed. New skills have been added across multiple types, including Water, Grass, and Ice, along with some flashy new unique skills like Thalasonic Laser, Scorching Lantern Sweep, and Trigger Happy.

UI updates include a new “Easy Bulk Storage” feature that sends materials to all nearby chests with one button press. The Pal Condensation UI now selects materials in bulk automatically. Pal Box presets can be saved and swapped quickly. And enemy health bars are now color-coded to show aggression levels: green for passive, red for hostile.

Multiplayer saw some backend fixes, especially for server version matching. The world itself got more variety in dungeon patterns and scattered fishing and salvage spots. Several new achievements were added. And dozens of small bug fixes were included, from animation quirks to jump physics on specific Pals like Jetragon.
