FromSoftware, Demon's Souls yüzünden Bluepoint Games'in Bloodborne yeniden yapımını geliştirmesini istemedi.
Shortly after Sony decided to shut down Bluepoint Games (Shadow of the Colossus, Demon’s Souls) last month, it was confirmed that the studio pitched an idea to the company of making a Bloodborne remake. Sony reportedly has given a green light to the project, but not FromSoftware—that's why the game has never seen the light of day.
Moreover, according to former PlayStation developer Brandon Sheffield, now the head of Necrosoft Games, FromSoftware also rejected around ten approaches for the Bloodborne franchise from different studios, including his own, to make a sequel, spin-off, or remake. At the same time, popular gaming insider NateTheHate has revealed an update about the situation surrounding the Bloodborne remake. According to the scooper, FromSoftware and Hidetaka Miyazaki personally were not satisfied with the remake of Demon’s Souls on PlayStation 5—and that can explain why the studio didn’t want Bluepoint Games to make a Bloodborne remake, as you can check out the world from NateTheHate on ResetEra below:
“It has long been believed that FromSoft/Miyazaki were not happy with the Demon's Souls PS5 remake. It's been industry chatter for some time.”
The remake of Demon’s Souls for PlayStation 5, released back in 2020, has received very positive reviews from critics and the players. It’s one of the highest-rated PlayStation 5 exclusives on Metacritic (92/100), but somehow FromSoftware wasn’t impressed with that, if the report by NateTheHate is true.
