Microsoft definitely has some huge plans for 2026. Not only that, recently the company confirmed its next-gen console, Project Helix. According to the latest report, all PC users may receive access to backward compatibility support with libraries of the original Xbox and Xbox 360 soon. And it’s not all great news for Xbox gamers.

As revealed by a new report by The Information portal, the new CEO of Microsoft Gaming, Asha Sharma, who replaced Phil Spencer in the position last month, has revealed she wants to make “future consoles and products like Game Pass more enticing” to a wider audience, and that could lead to a potential price reduction on Microsoft’s monthly subscription.

Moreover, the source is adding we can see some kind of bundle with Netflix and Xbox Game Pass service in the future, and it's adding Asha Sharma is having some ideas about how they could be working together. What’s important is that the previous CEO of Microsoft Gaming, Phil Spencer, stated that Xbox Game Pass is "the Netflix of games", as he explained in the interview with the New York Times, "because Netflix doesn’t sell the content that’s in Netflix".

As for now, Microsoft hasn’t announced the reducing of prices for Xbox Game Pass and possible collaboration with Netflix, but the fact that Asha Sharma has spoken about it publicly makes the gamers think it could happen in the near future. The prices for Xbox Game Pass currently are:

• Xbox Game Pass Essential - $9.99 per month;
• Xbox Game Pass Premium - $14.99 per month;
• Xbox Game Pass Ultimate - $29.99;
