Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis'in Yeni Fragmanının Bu Yaz Yayınlanması Bekleniyor

One of two upcoming Lara Croft games, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, is still eyed to release this year, but according to recent reports, Crystal Dynamics may postpone the anticipated remake to February of 2027, as there are some reasons for that move.

Initially reported by Society of Raiders a few weeks ago, it’s been revealed that it might be delayed to 2027, probably as a result of another wave of layoffs back in March. There is another report from Tomb Raider podcasters Tombs, Teas, and Trauma, according to which we could expect a new trailer for Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis during Summer Game Fest (June 5-9) with a confirmation that the game will be released on February 12, 2027—the birthday of Lara Croft. The source is considered reliable because it is in direct contact with representatives of Crystal Dynamics.

If this report is true and Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis will be pushed to 2027, the other upcoming game, Tomb Raider: Catalyst, will probably be delayed as well—potentially up to 2028. So far, Crystal Dynamics hasn’t revealed anything about the future of Tomb Raider installments, so this report should still be considered with a grain of salt.

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is the remake of the original Tomb Raider, released in 1996. The game is also rumored to have more advanced action scenes, as it has been co-developing with Flying Wild Hog—the developers of Shadow Warrior and Evil West—and is also set to unite all the timelines featuring Lara Croft. As for Tomb Raider: Catalyst, it will be a sequel to 2008’s Tomb Raider: Underworld. Both projects were announced at last year’s Game Awards show. There is also a Tomb Raider TV series in development by Amazon starring Sophie Turner as Lara Croft.
