Troy Baker, The Last of Us: Part III'te Joel'in geri dönüşüne dair ipuçları verdi.

Joel Miller is one of the most beloved characters not only in The Last of Us franchise but is also considered one of the best protagonists of recent years, sharing the spotlight with other iconic characters such as Arthur Morgan (Red Dead Redemption 2), Geralt of Rivia (The Witcher saga), and Kratos (God of War game series).

Unfortunately, due to what happened to Joel in The Last of Us: Part II, we are unlikely to get any footage of him, but in a recent interview with Eurogamer, the voice actor of Joel, Troy Baker, has teased that we might get to see the character on screens, and he also addressed Pedro Pascal’s performance in HBO’s The Last of Us show.

"The show is vastly larger, there is a lower barrier of entry. I really applaud for being able to go 'yes, let's do this show'. He knew the story of Joel and Ellie was important enough, and sometimes, you have to bring the mountain to the man. There will be people who would never pick up the controller and never experience that story, and what a tragedy that would be. So, let's bring it to them.

All I wanted was for Pedro to show me something in his performance that I missed with Joel. And, he did it every episode. I really commend him, and am very grateful that he handled Joel with such careful hands - he loved that character just as much as I did. That is all I could ever hope for.

I hope that Pedro is not the last person to play Joel. I want to see this character be proliferated and iterated on in multiple mediums, whether it be TV, film, more games, comic books. I see people that cosplay as all the time… he made an impact.

I definitely know we've not seen the last of Joel, whether that be Naughty Dog or somebody else.

What I love about is, I have never felt more of like, what the character is feeling.”

We heard rumors that Naughty Dog might be working on The Last of Us: Part III, and recently Naughty Dog director Neil Druckmann might have revealed that the upcoming game might be dedicated to another immune citizens in the world of The Last of Us. Initially, this idea was set to be explored in The Last of Us: Part II, but developers decided to focus on the story between Ellie and Abby instead.

Considering Troy Baker’s voice, there might be a hope that Joel somehow will appear in The Last of Us: Part III, with flashback scenes remaining the most likely option here. At this moment, Naughty Dog hasn’t confirmed they are working on The Last of Us: Part III, as the studio is developing their new IP—Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
