CounterSide, the turn-based RPG developed by STUDIOBSIDE, is entering a major transition as the team has officially confirmed the end of active development. The decision follows the departure of Head Producer Hyunsoo Kim, with all new content updates set to stop after April 29, 2026.

Development Officially Ending

In a recent developer note, Hyunsoo Kim announced his resignation, marking a significant shift for the project. At the same time, the studio confirmed that no further story or gameplay content will be released beyond the latest April updates.

The final additions include:

• Main Stream Episode 15 (April 22)
• The last Awakened employee (April 29)

After these updates, the game will no longer receive new content.

Transition to Maintenance Mode

While development is ending, CounterSide will not shut down immediately. Instead, it will move into a maintenance phase, where existing content continues to rotate.

Some recurring features will be discontinued, but key modes such as:

will remain available for players.
