Alien: Isolation 2'nin Unreal Engine 5 Kullanacağı Doğrulandı

On April 26, on National Alien Day, Creative Assembly and SEGA presented a teaser for Alien: Isolation sequel, which was announced in 2024, on the game’s tenth anniversary. Since then, we haven’t heard many details about the upcoming horror, but it’s been speculated that the game will use Unreal Engine 5, not the gaming studio’s Cathode Engine.

Well, these reports were just confirmed: as you can check out on Creative Assembly website, the sequel to Alien: Isolation will use Unreal Engine 5, which is confirmed by information regarding the game’s Senior Development Manager on job listings.

“This is an excellent opportunity for a talented Senior Development Manager to join the sequel to ALIEN:ISOLATION being built in Unreal Engine 5 (UE5).”

As Creative Assembly is looking for new employees, the game is still believed to be in the early stage of development despite being announced almost 2 years ago. Not all the fans are excited about changing the inner studio’s engines to Unreal Engine 5, since this can not only cause technical issues but also directly affect gameplay.

As for Alien: Isolation sequel, the first game clip teases players will be able to venture onto the planet's surface, rather than spending the entire game in confined corridors, as in the original game. You can check out the game’s teaser titled False Sense of Security below:

Besides Alien: Isolation 2, Eidos Montreal is also reportedly working on a AAA Alien game, which is described as “Shadow of the Tomb Raider with Xenomorphs.” However, the title is not being announced yet.
