One of the most interesting RPG titles set to release this year is The Blood of Dawnwalker, developed by Rebel Wolves. Not only because it is worked on by former developers of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, including the game's director, Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, but also because the gameplay of the game is essentially built on two cycles: during the day you play as a man named Coen, and at night he turns into a vampire, which significantly affects its story.

Recently, The Blood of Dawnwalker lead quest designer, Rafal Jankowski, spoke to Eurogamer, where he confirmed that the upcoming RPG project will include some riveting features for players who like to do speedruns. Specifically, he confirmed that by completing the prologue, you can simply go and beat the game’s main villain, Brencis. However, he also recommends doing other stuff in the game to make your walkthrough more fascinating and intriguing, as you can check out the highlights from his interview below:

“After the Prologue, there is nothing stopping you from going straight to Brencis' castle and trying to defeat the big bad vampire and his vampire officers. It is difficult, of course, but it is physically possible - the content is there waiting for the players. The enemies are there waiting for the players. It is absolutely possible to skip everything, like all these quests.

If you are skilled enough... I don't know, I didn't personally try it, I'm not exactly sure how difficult that is. But the idea was to make it difficult enough for this not to be a path that we encourage the players to do on their first try. But we are hoping to see this done soon after the release of the game, because with many players out there, many of them are probably skilled enough or patient enough to try and do it. But it is possible."

It’s a really unusual feature for RPG titles, but given the fact that The Blood of Dawnwalker’s duration is approximately 55-70 hours, which was recently confirmed by Rebel Wolves, it's better to explore the game’s world and make your character stronger before going to battle the main boss.

Recently, the game also graced the cover of the new issue of Game Informer while at the same time upsetting many GTA 6 fans who were hoping to learn new information about the upcoming Rockstar Games project. In The Blood of Dawnwalker, in the game you play as Coen, a young man turned into a Dawnwalker, forever treading the line between the world of day and the realm of night. The game is set in 14th-century Europe and is releasing on September 3 for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. Recently, Rebel Wolves held a Road to Launch event —where they revealed new gameplay details, a story trailer, system requirements, and more.
