Throughout the years we’ve seen plenty of video games based on Transformers universe, which have been released on different platforms, although the franchise has been more prominent in cinema lately. The last notable game featuring the Autobots and Decepticons, Transformers: Galactic Trials, was released by 3DClouds in 2024 on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.

However, it’s been a while since we saw a AAA Transformers game; unfortunately, last year it was revealed that Transformers: Reactivate, announced at The Game Awards 2022 and developed by Splash Damage, was cancelled. It was a 4-co-op action build on Unreal Engine 5, which looked promising for all Transformers fans.

The new rumor suggests there is still another Transformers game, which is currently in development by some unnamed studio that acquired the rights to the Transformers G1 license. The information comes from YouTuber RoboGamer1HD, who previously leaked some scoops about the abovementioned Transformers: Reactivate. He also reveals that invitations for select users to test the game and provide feedback have recently gone out, and pre-registration for the game could begin as early as this July.

It’s curious that a few years ago, it was rumored that Microsoft was reportedly working on two video games based on the Transformers franchise. Considering that Xbox Games Showcase is planned for next month (June 7) and if the report about the new Transformers game from RoboGamer1HD is true, we can expect the official announcement there, taking into account the aforementioned information that pre-registration is scheduled one month later.
