Take-Two'nun CEO'su Strauss Zelnick, GTA 6 heyecanı sırasında diğer projelerin pazarlama kampanyalarına değindi.
Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, held its latest earnings call yesterday. Fans were hoping to find out at least some new information about GTA 6—the most anticipated game of 2026—but perhaps the only thing that came out of it was a guarantee from Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick that the game will not be delayed and will be released on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Shortly after the investor’s call ended, Strauss Zelnick gave an interview to Variety in which he teassed that marketing for GTA 6 would begin on June 21 —and that’s when we should expect pre-orders for the game to open, as noted by journalist Jason Schreier, and Rockstar Games will likely release a new trailer around that time. In a recent interview with IGN, Zelnick was asked whether GTA 6 might, in essence, adopt a unique marketing strategy for the game that would not feature any gameplay footage. However, the head of Take-Two stated that any entertainment property needs to attract potential consumers before its launch, regardless of scale, and he cited Mission: Impossible and Tom Cruise as an example. You can check out the highlights from his interview with IGN below:
“Well, look, I mean, Rockstar is going to talk about all things GTA in the fullness of time. So I can speak conceptually only about the marketing of entertainment properties. And I do think no matter how big a franchise is, the consumers need to engage with that prior to release. And I think the motion picture business reflects that as well.
So if you put out a sequel to Mission: Impossible, trust me, the studio is still going to spend a whole lot of money marketing that title, even though we kind of know what we're going to get and we know we're going to see Tom Cruise, and we're thrilled that we will. Marketing is still an important part of any entertainment release.”
The latest Take-Two earnings call also confirms that the company will earn around $8 million of revenue in the next fiscal year, thanks to GTA 6. Despite Rockstar Games’ continued silence regarding the new GTA 6 trailer, reputable insider Graczdari has stated that the trailer will be announced today and released next Tuesday —a prediction he is personally willing to bet 1,000 euros on. Previously, the insider leaked information about the boxed edition of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered and the Switch 2 version of 007 First Light, which turned out to be true. Furthermore, he stated that on June 2, there will be “a little something” related to the game at State of Play.
Previously, another gaming insider, DetectiveSeeds, suggested that GTA 6 appearing on State of Play show is possible due to the partnership between Sony and Take-Two Interactive.
For now, you can also find out everything we know about GTA 6 so far - the story, gameplay, map, open world, platforms, and more.
Grand Theft Auto VI will release on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
