Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive are actively preparing for the release of one of the most anticipated games in history - Grand Theft Auto VI, which will be released on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Nevertheless, it is foolish to assume that this is the only game currently in development.

A recent financial report revealed that Take-Two plans to release several remasters, remakes, and enhanced editions of its games by 2029, including those being developed by Rockstar Games. Without a doubt, this refers to expansions for GTA Online and the PC version of GTA 6, but it could also be re-releases of older games, such as Bully, which is also teased at by developer job openings. Nevertheless, no one doubts that the next game by Rockstar Games after GTA 6 will inevitably be Red Dead Redemption 3.

For now, it is difficult to guess when Red Dead Redemption 3 might be released, but in a recent interview with The Game Business, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick teased that the game could come out sooner than we think thanks to advances in technology. Of course, he does not directly mention the third installment of the cowboy saga, but fans took it as an obvious hint.

“I wouldn’t confuse long development cycles with a lackadaisical approach to development cycles. Everything we do is in the context of milestones, budgets and delivery dates.

Certain titles are so complex and so challenging to build, they take a long time. It is possible that recent developments in technology will allow us to compress some development timelines without comprising quality, and we will hope to do that. But everything that we do here is thought out and reasoned, we don’t just wait to hear how things are going. We make choices about how we are going to develop in the context of what our creative teams are trying to achieve and what we believe the market demands in terms of quality in order to deliver a hit. We are in the business of making hits. Everything we do is in service of trying to make a hit.”

Recently, Zelnick also confirmed that Red Dead Redemption 2 sold 85 million copies and stated that he does not consider Red Dead Online a "missed opportunity," because the multiplayer mode is still in demand, albeit not as much as GTA Online.

As for Red Dead Redemption 3, Roger Clark, the voice of Arthur Morgan, recently stated that it would be 'crazy' if Rockstar Games did not make Red Dead Redemption 3, and previously other actors also supported the release of a trilogy sequel - Rob Wiethoff (John Marston) and Alex McKenna (Sadie Adler).

In turn, fans are also awaiting the update of Red Dead Redemption 2 for current-generation consoles, the release of which, according to rumors, is still scheduled for this year.
