Capcom şu an için Resident Evil 5 Remake yapmayı planlamıyor – Revelations daha olası.

Capcom achieved significant success by releasing remakes of their older Resident Evil titles, starting in 2019 with the remake of the second installment. As a result, the franchise has become the company's main source of revenue, and over the past year, sales of the game series have surpassed 23 million copies across all platforms.

The developers will continue releasing remakes of the older Resident Evil titles, with Resident Evil Veronica—a remake of the original Code Veronica from 2000—set to launch next year. Additionally, the studio is working on a remake of Resident Evil Zero, which is expected to be released in 2028. The project is currently in an active development phase, having recently been handed over to Capcom’s main team.

However, one video game that is currently not being worked on for a remake and for which the studio has no plans at the moment is Resident Evil 5. This information comes from insider Dusk Golem, who adds that the studio is more interested in remaking Resident Evil: Revelations. Still, the insider acknowledges that a remake of the fifth installment could happen due to strong fan demand.

“While I think a Resident Evil 5 Remake will probably happen in the future due to fan demand, at present I've heard there's not a strong desire within the company to remake RE5 presently, there's other projects the team wants to do more.

t's easy to say at this point, "Oh they'll remake everything," but to my knowledge that's not what's happening. There was desire from the teams to remake RE:2 & RE:4, fan imitative/feedback & interest from some key people lead to Veronica, Zero, & RE:1 happening. They've brought up other things to remake, but from what I've heard there's more internal interest to remake Revelations 1 than RE5 or RE6, which at present no one really wants to take on. Again, I suspect RE5 will happen someday due to fan demand, but there is no drive to do it.”

Resident Evil 5 is arguably one of the most controversial games in the franchise. While it has certainly found its audience, many fans still criticize its clunky controls and especially Sheva’s AI when playing solo, since the game is primarily designed for co-op mode. However, if a remake of the game is ever released, Capcom will undoubtedly fix these issues, just as they have done with their previous remakes.

In addition to Resident Evil Veronica, announced at Summer Game Fest, Capcom is also developing a story DLC for Resident Evil Requiem. Neither project has a release date yet, but both are expected to launch in 2027.
