For many years, Capcom fans have been discussing the return of the Dino Crisis franchise—either as a new installment in the series or as a remake of the original game. The latter seems more likely, especially given the studio’s recent successes with updated versions of Resident Evil. It looks like this possibility could become a reality in the coming years.

According to insider immalkwalahi, who cites Team Biohazard—previously known for revealing Until Dawn 2 and Silent Hill video games—Capcom may announce a remake of the first Dino Crisis in 2028 or 2029. Full-scale development reportedly began back in 2022. However, no release date has been mentioned yet.

It's also worth noting that during a recent interaction with fans, Resident Evil producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi declined to answer questions about a Dino Crisis remake, although he did mention that he “knows the answer.” If Capcom decides to announce a remake of the 1999 game in 2028 or 2029, it likely means the release would take place around 2030. Until then, Capcom probably has a release schedule already set: next year will see the launch of Resident Evil Veronica, and in 2028, the studio plans to release a remake of Resident Evil Zero. In addition, they are still working on story DLC for Resident Evil Requiem and presumably on the tenth installment of the franchise.
