Viktor Antonov, who passed away last February, is best known as the art director for Half-Life 2 and also contributed to the development of Dishonored and Wolfenstein: The New Order. Eschatology Entertainment has once again confirmed that his legacy lives on by announcing Guns of Eschaton—a concept invented by Antonov himself.

Guns of Eschaton is a first-person shooter set in an alternate Wild West. The game also features soulslike elements, and the developers promise to pay close attention to how the game challenges players to find the right approach to defeating each enemy. Guns of Eschaton will offer more than 20 types of diverse weapons forged in the 19th century, each of which will also have several types of ammunition. As for the storyline, in Guns of Eschaton, players are confirmed to travel from the East Coast to the West Coast while recovering from the aftermath of an apocalypse known as “The Burning.” The game can be played in both single-player and co-op modes; moreover, it will also feature multiplayer PvP. The project’s release date remains unknown at this time. Guns of Eschaton will release on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
