The Guard team had the opportunity to compete in the VALORANT Champions Tour 2023: Americas League in 2024. This chance arose following their victory in the VCT 2023: Ascension Americas, which paved the way for joining the franchise league.

However, the organization failed to reach an agreement with Riot Games and sign the contract within the specified timeframe. The developers shared this information on their official Twitter account.

The opportunity to vie for this spot was also open to the M80 team, which suffered defeat against The Guard in the Ascension grand finals. Nevertheless, Riot Games declared that they wouldn't transfer the invitation to another team. As a result, the VALORANT Champions Tour 2023: Americas will once again feature 10 teams in the 2024 season.
