Yakında çıkacak yeni StarCraft oyunu Overwatch'a benzemeyecek ve daha sinematik bir yapıya sahip olacak.
Blizzard is reportedly working on a new StarCraft video game led by former Far Cry developer Dan Hay and, according to rumors, will use Unreal Engine 5 and feature a fully open world. Although the studio hasn’t confirmed the fact of development, more and more details about the game continue to surface online.
Specifically, a new portion of information was revealed by gaming insider and journalist Jez Corden during the latest episode of The Xbox Two Podcast. He already shared some details of the upcoming new StarCraft video game back in January, and this time he added some information about the game’s visual look. According to Corden, the new title will be more cinematic, similar to StarCraft 2, and not similar to Overwatch installments. Also, Blizzard is looking to have really high stakes in the new StarCraft game, as the developing team, as Corden teases, might have an exciting squad, as you can check out below:
“They’re putting together a bit of a dream team for the shooter. So that has me excited on the one hand, but I’ll tell you what excited me was, honestly, just seeing StarCraft again. Seeing the Terrans and the Zerg and all that kind of stuff.
The realistic graphic style was also impressive. It wasn’t like, I mean, it was hard to tell from the video, but it was not the sort of stylized graphics of Overwatch or whatever, or StarCraft 2, even. It looked like they were going more for the StarCraft 2 cinematics than the more stylized stuff that Blizzard does. If Blizzard’s art style is on a scale, and you’ve got the realistic stuff of Diablo 4, and the stylized stuff of the Pixar style stuff of Overwatch, it did feel like the StarCraft shooter was way more towards the realism end of the scale.”
The new StarCraft video game is reportedly in development in cooperation with Nexon, the owners of Embark Studios (ARC Raiders, The Finals). The official announcement could potentially happen at BlizzCon 2026 in September.
