Not long ago, details of a canceled extraction Titanfall game, which was in the early stages of development, surfaced, and this affected the fans' mood even more.

Nevertheless, it is possible that players have a new hope. According to an exclusive report from Insider Gaming, 1047 Games, known for the free multiplayer games Splitgate and Splitgate 2, is working on a game codenamed Empulse, which is described as a spiritual successor to Titanfall.

According to the source, they got their first look at the pre-alpha version of the game. It reveals one of the game modes, Team Deathmatch, where players have at their disposal a grappling hook, can run on walls, and use boosters for fast movement across the map. Moreover, another obvious similarity with Titanfall is the presence of giant robots scattered across different parts of the map, which even visually resemble those we have seen in Respawn Entertainment games.

This report confirms the recent words of the 1047 Games’ CEO, Ian Proulx, that the studio is working on a new shooter inspired by Titanfall and Black Ops 3.
