HBO'nun The Last of Us dizisinin 3. sezonunun final sezonu olacağına dair söylentiler var.

Filming is currently underway for the third season of the HBO series The Last of Us, based on the same-titled video game from Naughty Dog. The upcoming season is expected to be released in 2027, and its storyline will focus on Abby, played by Kaitlyn Dever.

It is still unclear whether the third season of *The Last of Us* will be the final one, but according to new information from insider Daniel Richtman, that is indeed the case. On his X account, he wrote the following:

"The Last of Us Season 3 is built to be the last one."

The CEO of HBO, Casey Bloys, also recently mentioned this; however, the showrunner of The Last of Us, Craig Mazin, revealed The Last of Us needs a fourth season as it’s "essential to bring the conclusion". As for now, neither of them has yet to make a statement about whether The Last of Us season 3 will be the final one or not.

As for The Last of Us video games, not long ago, insider reports surfaced claiming that Naughty Dog is secretly developing The Last of Us: Part III and that its plot may focus on the idea of other immune citizens in the game’s world. For now, the studio’s only confirmed project is new IP, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet—an upcoming PlayStation 5 exclusive that doesn’t have a release date yet.
