Bethesda is rumored to be developing the remastered versions of some Fallout game series titles—specifically Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. While these projects are still not confirmed by the studio yet, fans are still hopeful to receive new official information about The Elder Scrolls VI, which was announced at E3 2018 but still doesn’t have a release date.

It seems we’ll have to wait a while longer before any of these projects are released. According to new information from Windows Central editor Jez Corden, one of the upcoming Fallout remakes—most likely Fallout 3—will be delayed until 2027, while The Elder Scrolls VI will be released even later—in 2028 or even 2029. He made this statement on a recent episode of the XB2 408 podcast on the YouTube channel Rand al Thor 19. You can check out his statement below:

"I've heard that like, I don't know how true this is, but one thing I've heard is Fallout remasters are probably a little bit further off than people think and Elder Scrolls 6 is still quite far away. I suppose that getting some of those games out more quickly is probably something they're thinking is top of mind for them.

Yeah, that's kinda what I'm thinking: 2027 maybe for a Fallout remake, at least one of them, and then probably the year after or the year after that for."

Speaking of the aforementioned projects, Chris Avellone, the former head of Obsidian and developer of Fallout: New Vegas, previously expressed doubt that Bethesda would be able to create a remaster of the 2010 RPG. As for The Elder Scrolls VI, Bethesda studio head Todd Howard recently admitted that he’s tired of the constant questions about the game and advised fans to pretend it doesn’t actually exist.

Even earlier rumors from gaming interviewer Reece “Kiwi Talkz” Reilly suggested that, as Corden stated, the game would be released around 2028–2029 and that its development has been far from smooth.

Although there is no word from Bethesda about any of these games, we might potentially receive some information at the upcoming Xbox Games Showcase presentation, set for June 7.
