GTA 6—the most anticipated game of 2026—is set to be released in less than six months. Take-Two Interactive confirmed this once again during its recent earnings call, and there is no doubt that the game will be a massive financial success for the company.

In particular, the financial report revealed that Take-Two’s revenue for the next fiscal year is expected to reach approximately $8 billion thanks to the game. Although pre-orders for the game are not yet available, according to preliminary information, GTA 6 is expected to sell approximately 20–25 million copies on launch day to meet Take-Two’s expectations. And given the hype surrounding the game, it is not out of the question that these figures will be achieved. As Bloomberg states in its recent report, sales of 10 million copies would be considered a disaster.

Meanwhile, according to TweakTown, citing analysts at Morgan Stanley, GTA 6 is expected to sell approximately 40 million copies by the end of fiscal year 2027 (March 2027). If so, the game will break all previous franchise records, becoming the fastest-selling console game in history. And even if the game’s price tag is $100, it’s unlikely to affect its sales. According to a recent poll conducted during the Insider Weekly Gaming livestream, over 80% of players are willing to pay that much for the standard edition of GTA 6.

Since the marketing campaign for GTA 6 is expected to begin on June 21, as teased by the CEO of Take-Two, Strauss Zelnick, Rockstar Games is expected to open pre-orders for the game around that time and release a new trailer.
