Next week, Telltale releases The Wolf Among Us Remastered, an enhanced version of the 2013 original and one of the best detective stories in the interactive drama genre. Many fans are eagerly waiting for it ahead of the long-awaited sequel next year, and the studio has released a new trailer to remind everyone of the story.

The Wolf Among Us follows Bigby Wolf, the sheriff of Fabletown, as he investigates a series of brutal murders. The game is based on Bill Willingham’s Fables comics, and the new trailer for the remaster again highlights the improved visuals, sound, animation, and other technical features. Last week, Telltale released another trailer for the remaster that focused on its new features. The most notable one is Noir Mode, which lets players choose to play in black and white. The remaster will also include new behind-the-scenes content, such as concept art, interviews with the voice actors, and even fully playable cutscenes. Steam is also running the Next Fest Demo, where you can try the first episode of the remaster for free.

As for The Wolf Among Us 2, the game was fully unveiled this summer at Summer Game Fest. The sequel takes place six months after the original’s ending. It will keep the episodic format, but all episodes will be available at once, and the game will run 8 to 12 hours. Most story details are under wraps, but many characters from the original will return, including Snow, Bluebeard, and Colin, along with a new character, Faye, who will help Bigby with his investigations. Other new features include Unreal Engine 5, more open-world locations to explore, a 360-degree camera, and more. The Wolf Among Us 2 is scheduled for release in 2027 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, and Switch 2.

The Wolf Among Us Remastered will launch on October 29 for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. The game will be available on Switch and Switch 2 later on; the exact release date is currently unknown.
