Arcane's Epic Journey Concludes with Season 2: Netflix Drops Teaser and First Images
The critically acclaimed animated seriesArcane will conclude with its upcoming second season. Netflix has released a teaser trailer and initial images for this final chapter, which will premiere in November.
Inspired by Riot Games’ League of Legends, Arcane is co-created by Christian Linke and Alex Yee. The series explores the origins of League champions Vi and Jinx as they become embroiled in the power struggle between the utopian city of Piltover and the oppressed underground city of Zaun.
In the final chapter, Jinx’s attack on the Council triggers a severe escalation in the conflict between Piltover and Zaun. The Season 2 voice cast features Hailee Steinfeld (Vi), Ella Purnell (Jinx), Katie Leung (Caitlyn), Reed Shannon (Ekko), Amirah Vann (Sevika), Mick Wingert (Heimerdinger), Ellen Thomas (Ambessa), and Brett Tucker (Singed), with additional cast members to be announced.
Arcane is executive produced by Christian Linke, Marc Merrill, and Brandon Beck. The animation is handled by Fortiche Animation.
Season 1 of Arcane garnered significant acclaim, winning four Primetime Emmy Awards in 2022, including Outstanding Animated Program – the first streaming series to achieve this honor. The series dominated the 2022 Annie Awards, securing wins in nine categories, including Best TV/Media, Best Writing, Best Voice Acting (Ella Purnell), Best Direction, Best Production Design, Best Character Animation, Best Storyboarding, Best Character Design, and Best FX. Additionally, the series was celebrated by the gaming community, winning Best Adaptation at The Game Awards 2022. The Arcane album also received a nomination for a 2022 Billboard Music Award for Top Soundtrack.
