Riot Games, League Classic'in lansmanıyla birlikte Go4LoL'ü geri getiriyor.
Riot Games has announced the return of Go4LoL, one of the original competitive tournament series in League of Legends, alongside the launch of League Classic. The first event is scheduled for August 1, just days after the Classic game mode becomes available on live servers.
Originally organized by ESL before the launch of the League Championship Series (LCS) in 2013, Go4LoL served as a weekly open tournament circuit for European players. The competitions awarded Riot Points and cash prizes while providing amateur and semi-professional teams with an opportunity to gain competitive experience and attract the attention of esports organizations.
The revived Go4LoL series will run every Saturday throughout August. Registration is open to all players, with no qualification requirements or limits on the number of participating teams.
At launch, the tournaments will be available exclusively on the North American server. Each qualifier will be played in a single-day, single-elimination format.
Riot has planned four qualifying tournaments during August. The top two teams from each event will secure a place in the Grand Finals, which are set to take place on August 29.
The developer has not announced whether Go4LoL will continue beyond the initial August schedule. According to Riot Games, the future of both the tournament series and League Classic will depend on community interest and the performance of the first events.
