Recent news regarding GTA 6 pre-orders has stirred the internet. According to a new leak, the American retailer Best Buy has started sending out notifications that game pre-orders will begin next week, from May 18 to 21, and the rumor has already been confirmed by a reliable insider.

Specifically, Tom Henderson confirmed that the leak about GTA 6 pre-orders starting on May 18 is actually legit and real, though there is still no announcement from either Take-Two Interactive or Rockstar Games. Speaking of the latter, the developers might have recently added a new trailer to their website, which may be published together with the start of pre-orders. Moreover, according to the latest research from one of X's social media users, Rockstar Games is actively preparing to include a pre-order feature on their website, which is yet another confirmation of a leak from Best Buy, as you can check out below:

was discovered

This usually stands for: “Call To Action – Preorder”

It doesn’t confirm preorders are live yet, but it strongly suggests Rockstar is preparing preorder systems, analytics, and purchase tracking for GTA VI. Other GTAVI-specific tracking groups were also found inside the scripts.

It is also worth remembering that on May 21, Take-Two Interactive will release its latest financial report on sales after the investor call, which adds more fuel to the fire regarding the possible start of GTA 6 pre-orders. Rockstar Games, in turn, is also actively preparing for the marketing campaign of Grand Theft Auto VI, which will start this summer, and during which the game may be showcased at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
